ACADEMIC FIELD INSTRUCTION
CDC Academic Field Instruction Committee
The CDC Academic Field Instruction Committee (AFIC) was formed during the CDC Generalist Curriculum Workshop held last 2-4 July 2014 in Development Academy of the Philippines, Tagaytay City.
Because development communication education is heavily experiential and field-based, CDC AFIC aims to meaningfully and ethically integrate field-based activities within the framework of the BS Development Communication program
Functions of CDC Academic Field Instruction Committee:
1. Identify and screen potential partner organizations and communities for students’ fieldwork;
2. Formalize partnerships with partner organizations;
3. Outline R&E agenda where both partners and students can situate their collaborative projects;
4. Set guidelines on ethical conduct and behavior of students and partners;
5. Coordinate field-based activities of students from planning, implementation, and evaluation; and
6.Document and assess impacts of student projects on partner organizations’ development outcomes.
